Very nice target camera set
I bought this to replace a Bullseye target camera. I was not satisfied with the optical quality of that one — sometimes i could not see smaller caliber bullet holes in a paper target. The Longshot Ranger is definitely better. The camera is higher resolution than the Bullseye. It isn’t perfect. The field of view is pretty narrow, so to get side-by-side target frames in view (when I shoot with a buddy) you have to place the camera pretty far back. When you do that, it can be hard to see smaller bullet holes. When using a single target and placing the camera closer, it works great. Without using the repeater module, the signal may drop out at 100 yards unless it is pointed DIRECTLY (not at ALL off axis) back at your shooting position. Using the receiver, it works great. I have used it out to 500 yards and it works just fine. I REALLY like the compactness of these units. I wish Longshot included some type of simple carrying case for it, to keep it from getting scratched up in transport. I had to find some nylon pouches on ebay that fit the modules. All in all, I am very satisfied and would purchase again.
