    Essential.

    If you do any kind of long range shooting, especially any sort of competition, these camera systems are essential. They are the easy button. You can try to build your own system and it might work, but it won't be as reliable, as easy or covered by a warranty. These systems work flawlessly (so long as you follow the instructions) and are only getting better. The company is great and help tremendously if there are any issues. I personally participate in ELR events and I honestly do not see any possible way to accurately score matches without Longshot being involved. I cannot recommend this system more strongly.
